Dan Certificate Presentation
On Saturday March 20, Josh Gold presented four Ikazuchi instructors with their dan certificates for recent promotions. Wes Watkins, Chris Jones, and James Young received their yondan (4th degree black belt) certificates and Setsuko Okumura received her long overdue nidan (2nd degree black belt) certificate. Setsuko’s nidan test was in March 2020, one week before the California lockdown. Due to the pandemic, we only recently received her certificate from the Aikikai Foundation in Tokyo.
